Lewinsohn

She earned her BFA in Photography from the Bezalel Academy of Fine Arts and Design, Jerusalem, Israel
in 2014, for which she received The Rami Halperin Prize for an Outstanding Student.
Tamar exhibited solo exhibitions at Indie Gallery, Tel Aviv, Barbur Gallery, Jerusalem and at the Bezalel Photography Gallery.
Her work has been exhibited in various galleries and festivals in Israel and abroad.
I make images with and without a camera.
The image is an extension to the material; It is imprinted within and develops from it.
The fluidity of memory and state of mind is transformed onto the fixed surface, while minor changes
are manifesting the tension of a unique copy.
I am interested in the singularity which the body brings to this aspect of photography, the human
aspect; photography that is handwork.
I'm interested in the potential of photography as a craft.
